Code of Conduct

Importance

We firmly believe in the value and importance of an environment where all AWS community members feel welcome and safe. This Code of Conduct explains the behavior we expect from all participants, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and staff at AWS Student Community Day Medan 2026 and across related AWS blogs, online forums, and social media platforms. The purpose of this event is to foster technical and professional education and encourage community discussion.

Expected Behavior

• Treat all participants with respect, kindness, and professionalism.
• Use inclusive and welcoming language.
• Be considerate of differing viewpoints and experiences.
• Gracefully accept constructive criticism and feedback.
• Provide accurate and truthful information during registration and check-in.
• Comply with all event rules, venue regulations, and staff instructions.
• Respect the privacy and boundaries of fellow participants.

Unacceptable Behavior

• Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form, including but not limited to relating to race, gender, gender identity and expression, national origin, religion, disability, age, sexual orientation, or other protected category.
• Disruptive speech or behavior that interferes with the event or other participants' experience.
• Sharing or transferring event credentials (badges, login information) with others.
• Attempting to receive benefits or access that you are not entitled to.
• Unsolicited marketing, promotion, or solicitation of products or services without prior consent from the organizers.
• Violating any applicable laws or event-specific requirements, including health and safety protocols.

Scope

We expect all AWS community members (including but not limited to attendees, vendors, sponsors, speakers, volunteers, moderators, and organizers) to uphold the principles of this Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct covers the main event and all related activities, including social events, online discussions, and communication channels associated with AWS Student Community Day Medan 2026.

Consequences

If we believe you breached this Code of Conduct, we may do any of the following:

• Require you to leave or stop participating in the event.
• Prohibit you from attending or participating in future AWS Programs or events.
• Remove any content you submitted or posted in violation of this Code of Conduct.

If we require you to leave the event, you will not be eligible to receive a refund of any fees paid. All determinations are at our sole discretion. We will involve law enforcement if we deem appropriate.
